T-shirt quilt tutorial: Making the sandwich

What you’ll need:

A large flat surface to work on, such as a floor or folding table.

Backing fabric that is 10 inches wider and longer than your quilt top. I buy fabric that is specifically made for quilt backs that is 108 inches wide.

Warm and White or Warm and Natural batting that is 10 inches wider and longer than your quilt top.

Chalk marking wheels with blue and yellow chalk power. I have one made by Fons and Porter and one made by Clover. They both work great.

6 by 24 inch quilting ruler

1 1/2 inch long safety pins. Buy 200 or 300, you can never have enough of these.
