I’m in love with Craftsy

If you haven’t checked out Craftsy, you need to right now. The website offers dozens of classes you can take online about all kind of crafts, from baking to furniture painting to, of course, quilting.

I rent time on a long arm machine once a month to practice and improve my skills. But practice only takes you so far before you need to take a class. So I enrolled in Machine Quilting Negative Space by Angela Walters. All the lessons are shot in HD video, with easy to follow instructions. You can even download a free quilt pattern to follow along with during the quilting stage so you have plenty of negative space to practice the quilting designs on.

And the best part is you can watch the lessons as many times as you want, whenever you want. It’s great for my busy schedule.

I’ve learned so much about combining patterns and changing scale, to make designs that look complicated, but are easy to execute. I can’t wait to try them out on my next quilt. I highly recommend signing up if you want to improve your machine quilting.
